Tacho

I have just bought an XT600 Italian import and I noticed the Tacho doesnt work. Upon further investigation, I found the cable was missing ! Obviously, it hangs off the clock, but I have looked all around the engine and cannot find where it connects. Can anyone tell me where my other end goes ?
Ta.

On my 1985 (55w) it connects right to the camshaft on top of the cylinder head. I’ll try to find a picture for you this evening.
