XTZ crash bars and tanks?

Hi all,

Does anyone know where i can get crash bars and larger front tanks for a '96 XTZ 660? Ive emailed EVA (holland) but they only have the rear tanks. Any one ever made bars themselves?

Im in Sydney (Aust) and the local motocycle shops are pretty useless when it comes to these bikes

Cheers,
James

Hi,

It looks as though Acerbis do the tank for your model, and Riky Cross the tank guards.

See Acerbis New School and Benvenuto su Riky Cross - tutti i tuoi migliori accessori per moto, cavalletti moto, parti in carbonio, accessori per team .

Ciao,

Thanks Geoff

thanks for the tip geoff. Rickycross not only does the crash bars but they also to luggage racks for the rear. just waiting to see how much shipping will be. The XTZ is'nt in the acerbic catalogue so still no tank as yet. ill keep looking. maybe i should just get a big tank off a ktm 640 adv or bmw rallye and modify it??? probably end up costing more than the bike

thanks again mate

There is no bigger tanks avaliable for XTZ 660, all you can do is your
own design modifying something simillar. Crashbars manufacture german
company Hepco & Becker. Best regards,

Hi there, is that you James H.

Now if it is then your mate in Ireland wants those tanks first remember!! (hi hi)

Anyway I have a set of crash bars you can have. They are Motad ones, look them up in a catalogue somewhere to see what the're like.
I have to tell you that they are broken at the mount. Three sets of them broke simply through vibration, not dropping the bike. Motad changed them each time under warranty but after the third time I threw them off. A little welding would sort them out ok. The're stainless as well.
You can have them for free - just pay the postage.

I also have a set of Motad front downpipes in stainless if your interested. You'll need to modify these as well.

Ralph
