Hello all wander if anyone can help
i have recently bought an xt 600 1993 to save my thundercat from the raveshes of the british winter.
I love it,it puts a smile on my face every time i ride it the trouble is the thing is a git to start when cold and nearly impossible to start when hot the decompression cable has snapped(any info on the best place to get one from how to adjust ect appreciated)also any other hints and tricks to help the thing go Thanks in antisipation
Here in Ohio I try to ride as much as I can and there are a few days in the winter when I can get in the saddle. What I do is tune the carbs a bit rich in the winter, not much but a bit sure helps my cold bike to start with only a few kicks. I then lean her out a bit come summer.
