Squeeky XT600e

Went on a 2600km trip (80% Dirt/20% Tar) through the Northern Cape in South Africa. :scooter: Suddenly after the trip there is a squeeky sound coming from the rear swingarm pivot point/ bottom shock part. Quite annoying!!! I did grease the bottom swingarm part (2 nipples) before the trip. Bike got 11500km on the odo. Can those swingarm bearings be shot allready?

Sit the bike on a box support (Not the centre stand), remove back wheel and release the shock from the top point. (You should get help/straps to support the bike) then you can move the swingarm by hand and check for free play on the bearings and the lower pin for the shock absorber (bent or dry). A minor job to check this out.
My squeak was the lower shock pin being dry! I greased it and hey presto...! Sorted!

Have fun!
