Question spare parts in the usa

Hoping to cross usa next year ,part black top and part transam trail! Pretty much decided on taking the xt 600e but understand that spare parts/service may be a problem and on the short timescale we have for the trip a few days wait for a spare would be a disaster have any of you guys any thoughts on this?

Talking Yamaha 600

The problem is that particular bike hasn't been sold for a number of years here in the states. The nearest thing is the Grizzly 600 4X4 that was made for a couple of years 98-00. Buy some epoxy for a broken case when you get here and don't worry about chains tubes and the odd lever. The country is only 5K km across in a straight line. If you need some service I can fix it. You don't mind incorporating a few tractor parts do you?

I don't think it would matter what make of bike you are driving, if you have problems that reguire parts/repairs it wont happen near a dealership anyway. If you actually did breakdown infront of a dealership chances are they would have to order stuff, and be waiting a couple days. I say bring your bike, wouldn't you be more comfortable driving a bike knowing it's mainentence history.
