If those miles are genuine and its in good nick with an MOT, i'd say about £800

ted i think he's missed a zero off :biggrin3:
23yr old bike thats done less than 185miles a year :eek3:

Dick 28 May 2009 13:38

price

A nice , unrestored example of a red and white xt600z with around 20k miles on it went for £1800 on Ebay in the uk recently

They seem a bit cheaper in Germany where they are more numerous, and I think a good quality, early era 600z will always attract a lot of interest in Europe, especially if it is in original condition

Depends on the model I guess...

I wouldnt pay £1800 for an 86 high miler. Thats nuts. You can buy a 2003 XT600E with about 4000 miles on it for less.

wolfzero 28 May 2009 20:18

i paid less than £700 for a 97 600e that only needed a starter clutch repair to get it on the road. :thumbup1:
i wouldn't pay more than that for a pre 90 model unless it was very low mileage or absolutely mint condition :mchappy:

thanks guys. i got it for 300.00 from my buddy. he hated the bike (he has a 06 honda crf 250 4 stroke) so he just have it away.. as for mint condition... not really. but i think it could go for like 700.00. maby??

Maybe the clocks have been changed in the past. It would have to be sitting for 20 years for a believable mileage like that. :innocent:

If it had only 4000 miles on it, it would look SHOWROOM compared to even a 5 year old bike.

Come on then, lets have some nice pictures.... :)

It's a shame you have to sell your bike!
If you do want to sell it on ebay perhaps you should put a reserve price a little higher than those 700£ and maybe add a Best Offer button... who knows, you might have a better offer ;)

Btw, It is possible for a 20+ year old bike have very low mileage..

before I started using my '90 XT600E my dad had bought it in the US it only had about 2500miles on it.
That was 16 or 17 years ago and until I started riding her just a few years ago it only 4500 miles....

The bike sat in the garage and he only rode it in the summers... but hey, what can i say, lucky me :innocent:

And if I recon, it has a little over 19000 great awesome fun miles on the clock :scooter:

Vando :Beach:

depends on condition. If it's in good shape, around $1800 or so. If it's been flogged and looks it, around $800.

I paid $1400 for my '86. It's very clean and in very good condition with 7,000 miles and a clean title.

Show us some pics.
