Me too please, I just put a new piston, rings, honed cylinder, new inlet valves, valve stem seals and cam chain. Starte for first time last night about 10pm so after work today I want to start me run-in period as well.

Careful...

first 500 kms - not more than 4000 rpm, no hard accelaration, let cool each hour, change engine load and speed as often as possible - no highway driving
500 - 1000 kms - not more than 5000 rpm, no hard accelaration, let cool each hour, change engine load and speed as often as possible

After 1000 km, change oil and filter, check valve clearance, and gas it.

I always do 300 to 500 km only up to 4000rpm (~80 km/h on a 600 / 650 in top gear). Do not ride with static throttle but rather modulate power and throttle and rpm a bit. Then the next 300 to 500 km up to 6000rpm. (~120 km/h).
Try not to ride with more than 2/3 throttle.
Then service with oil & filter and check the valve clearances. From there it's full blast as soon as the engine is warm :-)
Find some mellow greenlanes or tertiary roads to make the run in enjoyable :-)
