Rims for XT600E

Hey all.. I've just looked for some rims for my 1990 XT600E on Twisted spokes

What is that Dimpled and Non-Dimpled thing?

By the way, what rim sizes are there on the XT? 36spokes 1.85x21" and 4.25x17" right? uhmmmm all polished up.......hehe

I'll get the stainless steel spokes and nipples all polished

Stainless steel spokes and nipples and aluminum rims... what do you think? I know aluminum and steel together tend to accelerate corrosion but is it the same with stainless steel and aluminum?????

Question

What are you after new rims for?

Is it a bit of bling, or do they offer a good weight saving/strength increase?

I know the std exhaust was a hefty item, and the wheels weigh a good amount, so these three items potentialy offer a good reduction in overall weight.

Certainly on bicycles this is one area usually overlooked/cost cut by the manufacturers on a std machine.

Hi.. My rims are bent due to some less fortunate dirt riding and some avoidable accidents and the spokes have some rust.

That's the main reason I want to change them...the weight savings is an extra that comes along but that rims/spoke change is probably gonna be the last mod I'm thinnking of doing
