Has anyone used a stainless steel reusable oil filter on a long trip?,how easy are they to clean out? and how long do they really last?.

Never heard of them but would be interested in knowing more? I've heard of the magnetic element that is fitted in conjunction with a screw on cartridge filter but have not heard of any feedback on these either, positive or otherwise?

Anyone with experience of either out there?
