Ok……when your battery is fully charged and the bike is using less power (keeping it simple) than the amount of power being produced (with me so far
), then the excess power is converted to heat
which is dissipated by your reg/rect.
So if you reg/rect is cold, then, either you are using all the power being developed, or you are riding in -56 deg weather
or there's an issue with your charging circuit!
