Recommended tyre pressures on an XT600E

Hi all,

I've just bought an '07 registered XT600E & am wondering what the 'standard' tyre pressures should be for general road use?

Cheers,
Loo.

Tyre pressure

I have an xtz660, but my friend an xt600e ´95 (3TB) and the normal tyre presure we both use is 2 bars in the front and 2.2 bars for the rear tyre.
Soory I don´t have the psi equivalent here, but that should be easy to convert somewhere on the internet..

Good luck,
Gerbie

I use 22 psi in the front tire and 29 in the rear tire. I think that is the recommended pressure but I saw someone on here give 27 for the front and 33 for the rear.

So I am going to start using 25 and 31 because I think the recommended pressure is low for the highway. :scooter:

I am using Bridgestone's TW48

BTW, I weigh about 90 kilos or 200 lbs.

These are usually bikes that are still sat in the dealership when the new models have come out. Because the dealer is too tight to knock a big chunk off the price, and take a possible sale away from his new stock, they can sit there for ages.

This is the only kind of brand new bike I would consider buying. After it's sat there for 6 months, unsold, offer the dealer a crap price. Pop in every other week and remind him that it's still not sold. After 6 months, if he hasn't offered a decent deal, tell him your offer's going to drop soon, as you're seeing 2nd hand prices drop. When you ask him who else wants to buy it, he might want to talk.
