Rear Sprocket movement

I own a 95 xt600. I have noticed that when a gear is engaged the rear sprocket will turn slighty independently of the wheel. Is this normal. Also when is the chain at its most stretched. WHen the suspension is released or fully compressed?

Thanx for your help!

It's normal because you have transmission damper rubbers in the rear hub. When you take the rear wheel out and you see that the chain wheel holder with the 4 feet is moving too much in the rubbers, you may renew the rubbers.
