Rattle

I have a 1986 XT600 Tenere (1VJ)which has recently had a complete engine overhaul. How ever just after running the engine in I have noticed a rattle that sounds like it is coming from the clutch side engine cover.

Any ideas what this "rattle" may be? Are there any typical problems with this model associated in this area?

If it's mainly when the engine's idling check the crankshaft gear nut.

It has been idling when I have noticed this. Usually when riding I can't hear it as there is too much noise from the exhaust...

How do I check this and is there a simple fix to this?

Could be at least 2 things : a) as above, remove the clutch cover and check the nut, or b) adjust the idle fuel mixture screw [turn it out].
