raising the bars on tt600re

Hey,

The bars ain't quite high enough when standing, but I've never bought riser bars. How do you know what height/sweep to go for? Or are new/higher bar mounts a better option?

cheers,
Doug

if you've got steel bars, go for Renthal Dakar Highs - good, solid ally construction with good height and reasonable rake which means you can set them at a range of angles without wrecking your wrists. failing that, risers and flatter bars - you could have them low for long road sections and fit the risers when getting off the tar. bit fiddly, but not bad if you don't fancy riding thousands of km of tar with sore elbows from high bars!

are you still out and about in Africa or have you popped back to get fresh wheels etc?

Another way to skin the same cat is to fit quad bars as they're quite a bit higher than solo's.Try Off Road Only 01597 822666 or www.oro2u.com or the quad only section www.atv2u.co.uk
