Problem with my XT carb

As I posted in my other thread ( cam chain or timing problems) and trying to solve a failure of my bike, I notice now that my carb works better with choke out. I mean at normal position it sputters a little bit at low revs and with the choke out it runs better but with a little acceleration when changing gears. When I as have noticed before and with other bikes that bikes once they warm up you return the choke to normal position otherwise it would not run well.

Can you enlighten me on this issue?

Too lean - see my post to your other thread about jetting.

The carb is dirty and blocked somewhere , or your rubber inlet manifolds are dead.

How old is your bike? As 2499 has said you may have an air leak from a split in your manifold. Was it fine before and changed ? Did you just buy it and was this way when you got it? Need some info. It could be several things, Jetting, Airscrew Air filter Missing,ETC. Let us know.
