Poor running
 

Hi everyone.

Have just had my 600E '92 serviced to cure a running fault but it doesn't seem to have helped. Basically it feels like it it sometimes is runnig out a fuel and spluttering, loses power for a second they carries on. Can usually power through it but it most noticeable at a constant 30-40mph. Doesn't always happen.

Also bike has started backfiring after hard acceleration then shutting off the throttle.

Any ideas appreciated

YOUR INLET MANIFOLD RUBBERS NEED TO BE FIXED.

Or maybe even replaced. Dont be tempted to glue them back onto the alloy part - they WILL come apart again.
To avoid this problem I use a version with a plastic, not alloy, flange.
The problem is that the alloy oxidises and pushes the rubber off - lean mixture - poor running.
