My new XT!

My fifth XT, Lucre V, here it is

http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/4395/imag0030oc.jpg

It has been registered today. It´s my 90 3TB motor and rear arm on a 98 4PT chasis and fork, but it has also some parts of 2KF and TT600S. Officialy, in the grey card it´s a 4PT

the others, Lucre I, was an 89 XT350, the best

An 84 XT 600, the best of the 600 XTs

Then Lucre III, a 95 TT600S

and Lucre IV, a 90 3TB whose chassis died last winter

Hey pera!

Glad ya got another one! ;)
I like the colors on it!

How difficult was it to fit the 1990 engine in the 4PT frame?

No problem. The motor is the same including the oil tubes.

cooool! :)

Who knows, maybe someday I might get a frame and documents and fit my engine in it

How is yours behaving right now?

I´ve made only 60 km. on it but the difference with the last 3TB is great: better brake in front, more ergonomic (the other has the seat lowered) and the most is the change of carburetor, before I had an TT600S carburetor and the motor don´t work fine, now with an 4PT carburetor looks another motor and I expect it will consume less fuel. I´m very happy with it. I´ll test well it in a week in the moroccan Atlas.

Here in Granada there are more chassis and motors like this, they came from the Guardia Civil (vossa GNR) but register it in Portugal can be a nightmare.

Yes, anything better?, the best the 84´s. But when the time is hot the "magic button" is relly magic.

Two years ago, glorious moments of Lucre III

Some people says that 2KF are the best XTs. My brother also had another two 2KFs.

And electrics are the same too.

In the UK there is British Racing Green (BRG). In Spain, Verde Picoleto or Verde Guardia Civil (VGC), it's just beautiful!

Love your bike. My first time on a motorbike bike was at 6 y/o with a "rural" on a XT in the countryside. I was just amazed sitting in the front with the single roaring. :mchappy:I had completely forgotten that, wow.

Congrats for the new XT, pera. Enhorabuena, preciosa.

Thanks esteban. i was thinking in paint it all in black, but I like it as is is too.

I´ll ride alone in the country, everybody will escape of me.

And here it is ready for combat

Hey Pera!

Looks great, and you replaced the tank for the Acerbis! Now you have it, still green but with a black touch. I have the same tank (my XT is all black, looks great too).

Definitely you won't meet many poachers, rest assured!

PS: Do you have a tank bag fitting the Acerbis tank well? I am considering the Enduristan Sandstorm, expensive, but supposed to be really good.

Sorry for the delay, I´ve been testing it at the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. I´ve just come in the new Motril- Melilla ferry, that happily puts me at 70 km. of high-way and 4:30 hours from Africa. The price is very interesting 116 € pax + moto roundtrip.

I haven´t found anythig for the tank, I´m not tall 172 cm. and the space that my knees left it´s not so much...
