muffer painting
Hi!
I got a little problem because muffer in my 34L tenere is all corroded and I really like to paint it but I'm not sure what paint to use... is hamerite will be ok??? please help. Peter |

not hammerite!! you will have a nice fire if you use that.
you need a high temperature paint, hopefully one that says "exhaust" or "very high temperature" on the can, up to 800`c ------------------ dave

Dave is right. What you need to do is scrape as much of the rust and corrosion off and then use a rust converter and let it do its magic overnight. Then you can paint the muffler with a high temperature engine paint. Get the one with the highest temperature rating.
