model identification
hello i have just bought(according to info i can find) a xt600 tenere 1vj model but every time i try to phone a shop to try to buy parts or to gather info because this bike needs work on the engine etc when i give the frame and engine number(which are the same) they say it is not correct. Reading other threads in the forum the start of the number should be the model but my number is 1ZAY14*** can anybody help i am confused !!
 if not can the parts be identified once it is stripped down (do the parts have casting numbers) because the bike shop said if i order the gears i need and they are wrong i still have to buy them !!!
