Lowering Kit

Does anyone know if I can get a lowering kit for my 2002 XT600?
I've already lowered my forks to the max. (about 1") - but I don't want to cut down my seat.
I know you can get a lowering link bracket for a KLR650 but I can't find anyone who does it for the XT.
- Can anyone help?

look at sizes of your shock

It's 38 cm long. Look for a shorter one, about 36, not sure but maybe the one on XTZ660 year 1990-95 could be ok (check also links sizes)

Thanks - but as you can imagine I'd have trouble in getting a good one.
Is there anyway I can take mine apart and "shorten it" inside somehow?

mmm not really...

-opening is difficult

-close it is also a problem, some add a valve to charge with nitrogen on top

-shorten it means that with same spring you will easily get the end of the course.

trust me, the lowered seat is the first option. DIYMotorcycleSeat.com - Home Page
second, an ohlins from a TTs, from 150 to 300 euro on ebay. With an ohlins, you have a better idraulic and you can get a softer spring that will lower your back.
Don't loose money with other things
