Left Hand Side engine cover XT600E
Hey guys!
Do any of you have one spare of these? Today I went to my garage in saw the XT layed on its side in a bed of engine oil with nothing bent nor scratched but the FRACKING engine cover that has a crack in it! It's located right on the small indentation where the gear shifter doesn't touch the engine! It's soo small that only drips oil..I suppose it can be welded but I unno... The bike was on the bike stand I built that uses a normal car/jeep jack.. Now I know that the culprit is the freaking jack is leaking air that's why the bike fell 1990 E-model It's a sad sad sad day for me :'( Vando |

If the cover isn't distorted at all, remove it, clean it up and take it to a decent welding place that can work aluminium. Should be a straightforward job.
JB weld is a possibility, or Araldite. Make sure it's all 110% clean first. Have successfully used all 3 methods in the past, at different times.
