Hi, if you search you will find a lot of simular threads.
As i recall the newer models xt600e has a different right hand side casing, making it a bigger task to fit a kicker. I dont think theres any "bolt on" kit for our 2003 models. You prabably need to cut in you're current sidecasing, or buy a earlyer one and modify that one to suit the relocated clutarm. The parts are easy over 100$ secondhand....for that money you can buy a new battery, and a lot of cable cleaner and dielectric grease to assure the Estart will work for many years.

Kito, why do you want to fit a kick start to your bike?
I also have an 03 xt600e and have not used it for a few weeks, went to start it last weekend and it would not start. Usually starts first time on the button. I put the battery on trickle charge for a few hours and tried again but no good, then put on full charge but I still could not start it. I don't know if the battery needs replacing or not but I was thinking how convenient it would be to fit a kick start. |
