kedo downpipes 1985 xt600
hi i am thinking of buying a set of KEDO downpipes for my 1985 xt600 . thay seem to be in 3 parts held by springs , has anyone any comments about the fit and quality of these pipes ,also they look stainless steel but the website is german and i can not read german .they are about 150.00 euros which looks a good price if they are stainless steel , many thanks for reading this and any comments you my have. zigzag

I'm thinking of getting one myself from Kedo for my 1990 XT600E... you should ask them if the downpipes do fit your model...

Yes they r stainless steel..
Yes they fit XT600 1985, I say this because XT600 have all the same model of downpipes, only TT have different (can be adapted, but XT model is nicer, three parts) from what ppl say about them, they give less power on low range and more on Hi range... but difficult to say how much it's true...

kedo pipes 85 xt600
hi thanks for the info , i was hoping the kedo pipes when mated to a standared silenser would not afect the nature of the bike, the power at low revs is great and not something i would wont to lose , ive been down this road before with a previeus bike , i like lowdown power more than topend power . the reason i would like to change to stainless is the origanals are costing me a fortune in vht paint, which drops off before my eyes in winter.can anyone else throw any light on the power issue.

if the problem is rust, you can easily get an original TTR\TTE stainless downpipe. You pay them about 60 euros on ebay, shorten them 5-6 cm, and yur done... no more paint needed

hi there ticker 64 i did not get the kedo ones although they look great , i got a very good deal on a new set of motad pipes £75.00 to my door they fit great but dont look as good as kedo . the bike seems to run better for fitting them . it is strange the kedo pipes are marked not for road use but i would not worry about it, it may be something to do with the strict german laws for there home market , with a standard rear ex the noise may be slighty more than standard but surely not by much . take care zigzag

hi ticker 64 i bought them about 2 years ago from busters in swansea via a addvert on MCN,s web page , it was an amazing deal i should have bought 2 sets, a secondhand set went on ebay a while back and i think they fetched close to £70-£80 . like i seid they fit and work well , but i would be very interested to get your opinion on the kedo ones , please let me know what you make of them . zigzag
