Just A reminder

Folks,
There is a moral to this little story:biggrin:

Striped the tank and plastics off my 91 xtz660 yesterday to set the carbs up properly (thanks to this forum its now sorted). On finishing and tightening all the bolts, gave the baby a polish and sat down to watch the moto gp.

Just before sunday lunch was due to be dished out i decided to take the bike out for a test spin. All was going well and i was on the last leg about 4 miles from my chicken dinner when the bike just stoped :confused1: :confused1: I crused to a stop trying to look like that was my plan all along, initialy i thought the main fuse had gone (another story) but to my embarasment i found i'd forgoten to reconnect the voltage regulator and i'd been running purely on the battery for 20 miles, with my lights on as well.

I'm not sure if it was a good or bad thing, but the area around here is completely flat, so without being able to bumpstart it, and having heared stories of fried ECU's from jump starting, i pushed the damned thing home :( :( took me 2 hrs, and dinner was cold when i eventualy made it :mad2:

Whats even moore anoying is that before i took the battery of to charge it this morning i thought i'd give her a spin, and the bloody thing fired up first time

So the moral of the story???

I dont think there is one, just got to try not to be such a forgetful a%$e in the future.

Here's to leaning the hard way :blushing:
