How to fix scratches/groves in fender and sidecover ???

I have some scratches/groves in my plastic, any one know a way to fix it ?
Is it possible to sand it down and give it a good polish ?
And what`s the best polish to use ?

I know there are some polishing creams out there.
Autoploish is one good brand.
Plastics are not easy to fix specialy those original soft parts.
Replace by new?

As BCK_973 said plastics can be very hard to fix but it depends on the plastic. What kind of bike is it ? Dirt ? Road ? Road panels are much easier to fix than dirt. The plastics that are used on most dirt bikes are soft and slippery. Most of the time you can get them welded but its pretty hard to get back to the original finish.

Road on the other hand you can repair the problem and then hide with paint and stickers.

Are the scratches big ? material missing ? painted plastic ? coloured plastic ?

Sandpaper, wet type, starting from a 400, going through 800 then 1000\1500.

Then you can use a metal polish like Sidol.

And naturally a lot of elbow oil (can't buy it, have to use yours) ;-)

Thanks for the tip.

Can I use a sandingmachine to take the worst groves ?
