Hi, I have an 89' 3AJ XT600. I am planning on building and welding my own pannier rack and boxes. I have a couple of questions:
1. Does anyone have any suggestions, pictures, blueprints or tips on the best way to do this? 2. Should I fabricate boxes from scratch or buy boxes (cheapy ones-i.e not bike specific boxes) 3.Should I bother strengthening the rear sub frame on this bike or can it hack it ? 4. I want to carry two 5l jerry cans - where should I mount them? 5. Should I bother welding engine bars on? Your response would be hugely appreciated Cheers Ed |
