help...petrol leak

ive got a problem with petrol leaking from a hairline crack under my tank..
has anyone got any idea what i can use to seal and stop the weeping of petrol
that doesnt dissolve on contact with it..thanks for now,punchy.

those petseal type products are ok for cars but i'd look into having it repaired properly the last thing you want is a fuel leak on a motorbike as unlike cars our tanks are on top of the engine and above the exhaust and spark plugs

If its a steel tank, surely the best option would be to have it welded !!

Probably a patch welded over the crack but you will need a skilled welder as the skins are very thin on tanks..

Whatever you do though, the tank needs to be drained and thoroughly flushed before welding !

my thoughts exactly ted maybe take it to a radiator repairs specialist they normally do fuel tanks aswell

Fuel tank leak

Try J.B.Weld. It will hold up to gas and is very hard after it sets. A gas leak above any engine is not a good thing! Welding would be the best solution. Good Luck!
