Help
im going to change fork oil one of the next days and have two questions.
1. When im draining the old oil. Do i open the screw on the SIDE of the fork, on the bottom, or underneath? 2. How much oil should i fill in? Is there a "how to" somwhere? im my maual its only discribed how to pull apart the whole fork. |

I made a "guide" in this thread:
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...shimming-51603 if you got some little screws on the side of the fork, then you can drain the oil that way. But if you feel for it, disassemble them to get all the junk out. Otherwise drain the oil, tighten the screw, ad some oil, and drain again. When you fill with pil, you will generally end up with a oillevel 15cm from the top, with the legs compressed and witout srpings in them. For my xt600e its around 570ml as I recall.
