Horizons Unlimited - The HUBB - Hello I'm Steve (ttr 600 Question)

Hello people I just signed on and I'd like to first off say Hi...HI!:biggrin3:

I've mainly joined to get some quality info regarding my 03 TTR 600

I've spent some time reading relevent threads here all the way back to 2001 (about 60 odd pages...:eek3:)

My bike is very new with only 300 k's on the clock. It was a Yamaha promo bike and sat around in a foyer for a long time then did some time as a loner bike to a tech college for budding mechanics to fiddle with. (Don't worry it's perfect...Yamaha did a comprehensive inspection prior to selling it) It was probably one of the last TTR6's to be sold "new", I'd guess anywhere!

I'm converting the bike to what I call a 1-3 day bike. I'm going to use it to get into country I won't take my BMW GS.

What been done so far is:
Heavy-Duty tubes, Fork Boots, Speed-bleeders, removed a lot of the extranous road gear and cut out switches etc.
What is going to happen:
Acerbis 20litre Tank, heavy Duty Sump-Guard, Some form of rear/soft pannier rack, Sub-frame bracing, lightweight headlight assembly, electonic speedo and simplified cockpit.

Ok my questions are as follows:

What sort of fuel economy should I expect? (My initial rides have shown around the 20k's per litre)

Can anyone give me tips on where to brace the sub frame. I'd like to see some pics of one "prepared earlier"

As far as the rear rack I plan to mount it to the following points...The two bolts that anchor the lifting handle (one also mounts the muffler bracket on the right side). Plus the the passenger pillon footrest mounts.

Is this sufficent?
