Hi Vando !

Whilst i`m sure THAT would seal it, surely a bit difficult to get zorst off ever again ? Bill

Why would you want to take it off again? Just kidding!

What you need to do is take a piece of thin stainless steel tubing the same size or just slightly larger than the diameter of the part of the exhaust that slides over, cut a groove on it edge to edge (a round "diagonal" would be better tho) and stick on the inside of the largest part so it slides over the thinner diameter tubing and when you tighten the exhaust clamp it will seal everything!

Or a piece of metal sheet... stainless would be best.

If you find that this can work for you, you can weld the thinner piece on to either parts of the exhaust and make sure there just isn't any possible way it would leak..

Either way, it's your decision! ;)

Hi vando ! If I had access to welding equipment that would of been the better way to do it ! I haven't and I would have to pay someone to do it and I'm a Scrooge as far as handing over money--unless there is nothing else for it . Bill ps. Still no developments as far as 03 seat covers go eh ! Glad I got a second hand one in better nick than my original now !

Sealant you need is Holt's Firegum. Made in England, we get it in africa...
Good gap-filling properties, just clean away any loose rust flakes, apply to both inside and out, quickly, join and clamp.

I've got the same Motad system on mine, it was a little slack on the joint but the clip nipped it up eventually. You could try Holts Firegum, that should hold in there.

Yep, just put the Motad headers on mine into the Arrow can and used a bit of Holts and seems to be sealed.

Yeah think you can tighten the original clamp up quite well, mine never had that clamp on when i got my bike and i was using a jubilee clip which wasnt good enough. Ive now put on a stainless steel super type clamp and combined with the silicone seems to have done the trick.
