Halogen fog lights for XTZ 660 on a budget

The price seems good for a tiny set of H3 lights. The low light setting on my XTZ 660 is very weak, so the idea is to supplement with a pair of these when driving in tunnels and at night.

Anyone know any good similarly priced alternatives?

You could use a better and/or higher wattage lightbulb, and run it trough a relay. Should be adequate.

True, in my opinion cleaning the insides of the front lights (it's afterall an old bike) and replacing bulbs with 55/60W H4 does the trick.
Dunno about your local Tenere model, but in most European models there is only one light that works when on low beam, but both on high beam. I solved the inconvenience by replacing one (the high beam only one) light with another combined one. Source for the light can be either XTZ660, Super Tenere, TDR125 (newer models with plastic holder for the lights), probably even some other yamaha models (check part numbers).

And yes, on my bike there is only one light on low beam. Makes tunnel surfing really scary on a sunny day.

andrerav, been there myself, one light with an old bulb is suicidal... Well, there is another, although not so clever alternative - using rally h4 light bulbs with 80-100W power output. But you'll probably fry your wiring and empty your battery :clap:.

Go for another dual action front light, it's elegant, quick and in my case also pretty cheap (30 EUR with postage from a scrappy in UK).

You guys overcomplicate stuff way too much. clean the housing out, and dont use that halogen stuff. HID is the way to go. DDM tuning offers the lights you need as a direct plug n play kit, for around $25-32 USD for a standard kit. get the 4500K setup, which is a very clean white light, and offers the most USABLE light. you'll be amazed at what the 35w kit can do. and never need your high beams ever again either. the HID kits are seriously that good at illuminating the road.

Yeah HID works, no question. Bot not street legal, (thats the short story) not here in Denmark anyways.
