Good Yam dealers

I have been down to my local Yam dealer today, they were not intersted myself or my bike, They said that they were only road bike dealers and therefore could not get me parts for my TT600RE (04). As I had been hoping to rely on them for supplying me parts while I am in Africa I'm a bit *issed off. I went down to my local bike shop who were very good and are trying to order me a set of fork seals...thats all I wanted! They said they can get them but may take longer.
As I live in the Channel Islands and there is only one Yam dealer here so I don't have the option to going to find another who will. So this leads me to my question! Can anyone recomend me a good dealer in the UK who will be quick and most importantly reliable, and will ship out to africa for me. Some one who has done it before preforably

Hello George, try contacting Motoward ( MoTo-WARD Ltd Website ) in Surrey. Martin who runs the shop is pretty knowledgable about offroad bikes and some overland stuff and seems to have most bits on the shelf or can get it orderd in a few days. I get most of my XT600 bits from there and never had long waits or problems. Brian.

Excuse my ignorance here but it seems to me that I often read about extremely high prices in the UK for parts and accessories.

As you are mail ordering anyway is there not a cheaper country that you canorder the parts from?

I'm just asking. Maybe you have other reasons or maybe I am confused about the costs in the UK.

I usually obtain the relevant part no from my microfiche and walk in to the dealer and say I want one of these (give them the part no.). This negates the need for them to exert any effort in going in to the search for parts bit.
Microfiche was from www.tt600r.de. hope this helps.(It is for TT600R but loads of parts are identical)

Never bought from them before so don't know how good they are.
My hubby came of his XT600E on Monday and amongst other things, smashed his air scoop. We live in Spain and I spent hours looking for a replacement part for it and this was the only place I could find one. If your bike isn't listed, but you know the part number, search on that. I'd be interested to know if anybody else has used these people.

Fowlers of Bristol was recommended to me by my friendly mechanic and it's also the place that a lot of dealers order from (I believe). They're really geared up for posting stuff out and they have a reasonable amount in stock.

I have just got a decompression cable from them by ringing them/ordering over the phone and it was delivered within a week which included them getting it from wherever because they did not have it in stock.
It is a genuine Yamaha part, which I did not expect.
