fuel pump

My fuel pump Has stopped working on a 1989 3aj. a new punp is £75.00 genuine but a local Mikuni dealer can supply a pattern [genuine mikuni] for £25.00.but he needs to know the FLOW RATE. Any body know what it is ?

P.S. I have read the article about throwing it in the bin, but it does'nt seem to run properly when the fuel level gets low.

try to get a second hand one.
i have several in stock.
but first ask dave lamberth, might be easier and cheaper for you.

I thought I had this problem,but it turned out to be something else.
The point is that while enqiring about a pump at my local workshop the guy there told me that you can replace just the diaphragm at minimal cost.
Take it apart and remove the rubber,cos it don't work anyway,and see if you can find something similar.
I have also heared of people using several layers of condom/baloon rubber too in an emergency,but these are only urban legends and have not been substantiated in any way.
