fuel consumpton - 3AJ
 

hello

my '89 3AJ is using more fuel than i would expect. since i bought it 6 months ago, the average fuel consumption is about 14 - 15 km/liter, which i know is below the usual 20km/liter i was getting from my 1VJ.

any ideas why this might be the case? i have noticed that my rear disc brake heats up when i ride, is this normal or is this signalling excess friction which should be removed? my 1VJ had a rear drum brake so i never noticed the heating effect. on that bike

Yes, take the brake caliper apart and press the piston out, clean everything and remount with the special Yammie pink grease. If the rubbers are not ok, buy the repair kit.
