Fork Oil

Hi There

Firts of all I Am new to the forum so a big hello to everyone.

Wa just wondering if anyone can help. Im am just replacing the fork springs on my 02 XT600 to progressive type and was wondering 1.)What is the level of fork oil per leg and 2.) What wieght of fork oil I should use

I use the bike on a 70/30 on/off road split. Any ideas?

Many Thanks
Mark.

Hello, and welcome.

I dont know about the quantity of oil (different bike), but automatic transmission fluid is cheaper and more readily available than 'proper' fork oil. Its SAE10 and works well.
