For sale

I may be putting my 2003 XT600E up for sale next week. 10150 KM.
I have new Distanzias front and rear.

Bought it in February, changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, rear brake pads, sump plug, NGK spark plug, replaced original nuts, bolts, screws that were rusted or corroded.

What's it worth?

Spares to sell, £150 Kedo bigbore stainless steel ones seperately which were only put on the end of march.

1 front kingstire, done about 200KM miles.

14 tooth front sprocket, 47 tooth rear sprocket done 300KM
specially made blue renthal 54 tooth rear sprocket done 60 KM
Also have a Givi rack that I took off and replaced with second hand grab rails.

About £1500-£1800 privately. Depending how nice it is.

Mileage sounds good although it sounds like an import if it's in KM.

That gearing sounds pretty nasty though. Standard is 15/45.

Good, solid, dependable overlanders... . Why are you selling it ???

Sounds about right, I paid £1995 in February. I know I wont and don't expect to get the money I spent back on it.

Yes it is a 4PT 01 which Fowlers informed me was for the french market although it was never registered there.
First registration was in the UK June 2003.

It came with 15/45, I fitted 14/47 in March/April and the 54 rear in May.
I use it every 2nd weekend, never been offroad with it myself. I have used it on the local small twisty roads.

Good solid bike, I am buying my mates XR650R.

They havn't changed so I wouldnt worry...

Having had the Xt600E and the XR650R (enduro AND SM), I think you will enjoy the XR650R.

It's a lot more vibey, uncomfortable and can be a BITCH to kick. Makes an extra 10-15hp than the XT too which is fun :)

I wa going to travel South America on my XR650 but I just couldnt handle the vibes for a trip that long.

Personally I prefer the XT6 to a XR650R. That said the XR is much quicker off the mark than an XT6. A mate of mine rides an XR without a cush drive and it's instant blistering acceleration all the way! :funmeteryes:

The XR will also be more prone to vibration problems than an XT. If you want comfort then the XT is the way to go if you want speedy fun fun fun then XR rules...:thumbup1:

Stay safe.
