Mine has a Micron. I can't compare it to standard, as the bike came to me with it on, but it is pretty good. Not noisy enough to attract unwelcome attention, but loud enough to give a satisfying duff-duff-duff under an open throttle. Stainless, seems good quality. No complaints.

my '03 came with a titanium remus silencer on it. It was LOUD, even after i repacked it as most of the packing was blown out. I ended up sellin it and making my own quieter, neater (i think lol) silencer

If you want LOUD, this is definately an option if you can get it for your year

I have a Sebring can on my XT600 - it's loud enough!!!

It sounds like a gun going off when it back fires too - great fun while filtering through traffic!!!:thumbup1:

LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES:mchappy:

I use this:
Yamaha YZF-R6 Accessories, Yamaha YZF-R6 GYTR® Carbon Fiber Oval Slip-On Exhaust
with custom header.

I have never hear something louder:clap:
Without any internal mod (silencer) it was at 114dB at 5000rpm...:(

That Remus exhaust looks great.. by the way, is that the YZ250F or the YZ450F exhaust you now have?

Yeah i repacked that remus and scrubbed it up like a new 1 and flogged it on ebay.
The DIY pipe on my bike was originally a '03 yzf250 pipe that i bought from a friend brand new. There is plenty of link pipe to play with and it just took some cutting and pipe bending to get it fitting like an OEM item. Had to make a special bracket and 1 off mounting bolt to mount the silencer at a slight angle. Turned out sweet i reckon, tucked in nice and neatly. The header is a good ole motad item

And did you notice any power gain or loss?

I'm looking at a CRF450 OEM exhaust which looks pretty nice to.... as for the headers I'm considering those that KEDO sells...

Vando :innocent:
