Different suspension

I own a 1995 xt600 and regularly use it on dirt trails, sand and some rocky terrain. I'm also quite heavy at 115kg and am wondering whether changing the suspension would aid in riding the bike. For example are there heavier springs available for the rear arm. Also can the front forks be adjusted to accomodate heavier weights. I tend to get alot of dive under heavy braking.

Thanx

Improving the suspensions is definitely a MUST ! particularly on late XT600 ...progressive springs for the forks and a good mono are the best money is possible to spend; another possibility is to find a used TT fork to chenge the original, but beware to the geometry ...

I forgot ....with weight on the bike (pilot, baggage..) it's not enough to change the spring on the mono with a stiffer one ..it's already weak on hydraulic return damping and you will find the bike "too much bouncing ...change the mono ! even a low-cost no-frills one is way better than original....(and serviceable/regenerable too)
