diameter on 84 600 headers?
 

on my XT, whats the diameter on the outlet end of the header pipe? I just snagged up an exhaust, and I'm working on a midpipe for it, so I need to figure how large the inlet needs to be for my midpipe.

nevermind, I got it. the exact measurement is 39.6mm, so 40 is about right if you're wanting a slip fit pipe.

Good job somebody knows....0.2 mm clearance then, high temp silicon seal?

I'm looking at fabricating a midpipe, so what I'm aiming for, is a slightly oversize, and I'll use something like the crush gasket yamaha put on the factory muffler. they do a fine job sealing on that, I see no reason I couldnt make it work nicely for me on this.
