was riding home at 5:00 am this morning, and noticed theirs no light on my speedo? i have a 1990 xt 600, is their a light or no?

Yeah there is! there are some very small bulbs that you can change. You just have to pull the rubbers on the bottom of the speedo.

Hi,
I have an XT600e 2003-just investigated 2 rubber bungs (held in with split pins) under the tacho, this only seems to partially separate bottom of casing,
leaving the 'post' that the split pin threads through still protruding from the upper section, didn't want to separate too much in case I damaged wiring.
No sign of any bulb, just various wiring 'ports'-do I have to dismantle the unit just to change the bulb?
Any help appreciated............

Don't have to dismantle the unit, you'll only end up having to glue it back togther (don't ask how I know this :oops2:).

The wiring 'ports' in the back you speak of - where there are 2 wires going into the back of a circular rubber bit - these just pull out and the dash lights are on the end of the wires so you can replace easily.

Thanks for reply & clear instruction...I managed to change bulbs following a 2nd investigation (& without dismantelling the clock!)
