cruising speed
Hi again mates, i took my xt to a mountain road with no big speeds like 70 km/hr and 136 km covered and the xt just consumed 4.5 lt ( 30 km/lt ) in this road, my xt is a 3TB 98 Model with 37000 km on the clock. My old bike yamaha tdm 850 on the same road had an average of 17 km/lt but at higher speeds, so i'm really happy with the fuel consumption and now i'd like to know what's the best cruising speed on highway, could the 98'xt 600 3 TB model go for 120 km/hr for cruise speed? ...and what about if the temperature is 28 celsius degrees in highway..could the xt go at this speed with this temperature? Here in the panamerican highway the max speed is 120 km/hr and the roads are almost pure straights, well thanks again and any comments will be welcome cheers

In the mountains bikes always use less. If the normal average is 1:20, uphill it can be about 1:15, but downhill it can be as little as 1:35, with the average being 1:25.
Of course it can do 120 km/h. cruising. It's a real Yamaha! ------------------ Fred, XTZ660, Holland.
