Correct battery

Hi All, hope you can help me with a quick question........ anyone know the correct battery for a XT600Z 86, 1vj model yamaha? my bike has not got on and the yasua battery the shop is trying to give me is not correct. i suspect its for the side mounted xt600, not tenere...Any ideas?

Any numbers for a sealed gel battery would be good too ;-)

I found these data for a XT600Z:

GM12 AZ
12V 12AH

that one is the one under the seatpost.

Cheers for the info........... I got a number off kedo web site for the 86 model......YB12L-A2 or something (dont have the info to hand )

but it still doesnt connect up (different style terminals and 180' switched )so i can cleverly deduce a previous owner has done good knows what to it.
the joys of an older abused machine.....

OK, lets put this to bed, I found the paper on which i wrote the original battery number on before I tossed the battery over a year ago, yesterday. For that model its YB12A-A.
