clutch change
Q1 Any one with any experiance of changing the clutch plates on a 4pt modal.i am about to do the job and was wanting to know if the is any thing that i should know to look out for. Q2 I have been told that the is a big nut on the end of the crank shaft that can come lose and needs some locktite is this a big job ? what size socket and touque should it be? thanks for any help

I recently did the clutch on my '88 Tenere, took about an hour. Just make sure you have something, a clutch holder tool or a 2p coin wedged into the shaft cogs (not ideal but does work) to stop the clutch turning when you undo the bolts.
You will need to remove footpeg mount to get side cover off. Nothing else is too difficult.
