Checking the oil level 93mod
 

I have never found a good way to check oil level, sometime the level is high and sometime the level is low. I have been riding and oil is warm, is there a good way to really know the correct level?

Best way with all these type oil systems I find, as my XR400 and DR350 and XTZ 660s and now my XT600 is..... warm up properly first.. i.e 10 to 15 mins. Check it with bike bolt upright, not on sidestand. I then recheck to confirm all ok at end of days run after letting bike tickover a bit while upright, whilst I take off my kit. Seems to work for me and give consistant correct readings
