Chain spray/chain wax

What's the difference between Castrol chain spray and Castrol chain wax? They both come in aerosols, the 1st has a steel ball inside and the 2nd has not.
Does anyone have experience with both?

i use the wax all the time on my trials bike it is a lot cleaner to use and doesnt fling everywhere, but the chain will require regular degreasing before applying new spray as on my transalp it built up and seized the chain.
