Why the hell are they so expensive, and why is upper one blowing off when you drive loaded?
Any alternarive like hard bearinged ones like on enduro bikes? Cheers Matt |

I found an orange hard plastic one with bearings in an off-road bike-shop in France. Works fine.

After it kept falling off through Egypt and Northern Sudan, I just removed the top chain roller, cutting off the spline which it sits on.
That was 20 000km ago and there has been no damage to anything. |
