Carburator problems on my Tenere 660 XTZ

I recently acquired my 2nd Tenere 660 XTZ (i kept my 1st one 2 years in Ghana: fantastic! Going out in the bush following pals who had 600 & 400XRs...no problems: a set of Michelin Desert and it goes anywhere... )
...So my 2nd Tenere (19'000km second hand ) gives me some carburator problems:
The engine is totally unstable at iddling speed, typically going through a village at constant 50 km/h speed. It jerks like hell.
My mechanic told me the dble carburators did not like this regime, just between the 2 carb....(My ghanean Tenere was stable like a rock!) but i cant buy that.
Can someone give me a hint on what to do ?

Many thanks !!

Anyone who wants advice on the bike in Africa, just ask !

Simple things first !! Is it well serviced with a new plug and clean filters ??

Good quality fuel ?
