Carb cleaning

Can someone tell the purpose of section 28 on picture attached? I have cleaned all but section 28 is mistery for me. I can see small hole under it, but do not know for sure is there any connection?? Tried with air and tin wire.

I believe that is the idle jetting. And yes, there will be a connection.

Maybe my picture is not good. It is section in float chamber.

Carb cleaning
It would help me to know what bike this carb bowl is off of? It looks like it is the fuel supply for the choke circuit. Does a small brass pipe index into this well when the carb is assembled? If it is the choke circuit it works to limit the flow of gas after the initial startup. The small hole limits how much gas can enter into the little well and get sucked up into the engine. I clean them by using a strand from a long bristled wire brush with carb cleaner and air blower. Unless this is off a twin carbed single cylinder engine or a old yamaha twin cylinder two stroke that only use a choke curcuit on one carb. Also if a shop has as ultrasonic carb cleaner it makes this job easier.
