Can xt660z Tenere be lowered a bit?

Hi,

Sure does not sound very good - but can new Tenere be lowered a bit to fit short guy like me - I am 174 cm and afraid to ride this bike in a normal city traffic? Has anybody heard anything?

Cheers
Konrad

Yes it's possible. You can order the lowering links from alphaTechnik in Rosenheim - Motorradteile, Auspuffanlagen, Bremsentechnik to lower it some 50 mm. Be aware that you need to shorten the side stand as well. At . : XT660.com The #1 xt660 resource : . | The #1 xt660X, xt660R and xt660Z Tenere resource you can read more about it. That site is a must if you're a Tenere owner :)

Metal Mule

Hi there. I was speaking to the guys from Metal Mule at The HUBB meeting in July in the UK and they are supplying suspension lowering kits for the new 2008 Tenere. Definitely worth a try as they are making a full range of accessories for the new Tenere.

Yea one of the guys from the Xt660 forum allowed MM to have his bike for a while so they could make up some of the parts for the new tenere. I think they make the works from bash plate, crash bars, pannier frames, top box rack and a few others. Im sure they will be out soon
