if there was any paperwork confirming the bike is legitimate stolen recovered for example a leter from the police or an insurance company you can aproach the dvla for a new vin number and V5 :cool4:

i've done pretty much every kind of mod you can do to an xt600 see the supermoto xt600 thread i've just added a couple more things to the thread regarding foot pegs and lever mods :thumbup1:

There is paperwork to show it was stolen recovered but unfortunatly the frame was damaged when it was stolen and although rideable it cannot be put back on the road (hence the frame numbers being removed by the insurance company) so the only way it can go back on the road is with a new frame.

the insurance company probably only removed the frame numbers as an economic viability it might be worth getting the frame inspected/jigged and with that done you can then get it renumbered :thumbup1:

i'm trying to find a frame to build a field bike so i dont need a v5 and cant even find one for that they seem to be very few and far between these days :rolleyes2:
